Fresh "Huai Shan" Soup





What we've here are Fresh "Huai Shan"; Carrot; Corn; Pork Ribs; Sweet Dates and Madarin Skin.


All cantonese soup are usually simmer in low heat for about 3 hours. Or else they belive it is a waste of ingredients.

Old Yellow Cucumber Soup "老黄瓜汤"

In Hong Kong, people usually cooked old yellow cucumber soup for the hot summer day.

What we normally used here are:

Old yellow cucumber
Carrot
"Tou Pot Leng" (optional) - is a kind of root for cleaning toxic in our body
Sweet dates
Madarin skin (soak till soft to remove the inner skin-they belive it'll make your body heaty)
Pork ribs

Directions
1. Scrub the skin of the old cucumber clean and cut it in half to scoop out the seeds. Cut into small pieces.
2. Blanch the pork ribs in boiling water for about 5 minutes and wash with tap water as to remove the irky bits. Drain and set aside.
3. In a pot, add madarin skin and bring to a boil before add in other ingredients. After which, simmer the soup over low heat for about 3 hours.
And the soup is ready to eat.

Nyonya Rice Dumpling "Bak Chang"


The filing have meat, dried mushroom, dried shrimp, sweet winter melon, chestnut and yam paste. The different between Nyonya dumpling and other is that they added Ketumber "kind of herbs" into it.




In Hong Kong we can get big pandan leaf so I used bamboo leaf to wrap it.

Traditional Ciabatta


Ciabatta is one of the most ancient bread from Italy. It has crispy crust and soft inside. It is nice to eat with curry or make panini sandwich.

DURUM Semolina Bread











The bread are normally serve wtih any Italian dishes, expecially the one cooked with tomatoes. It has a very light texture and buttery flavour.

Home Made Pandan Kaya


I made it with equal portions of (Pandan Leaf + Coconut Milk) + Egg and Sugar. Stir it under double boil water till cooked.
Very simple and easy.

Its Taiwanese famous white bread. And they call it "龐多米''.
