Green And Black Koo Kuih
This is one of my old pictures of Green and Black Koo kuih. Basically the skin are made of glutinous rice + sweet potato and the filing is either sweet or salty mung bean paste, steamed on banana leaves.
Both colours are natural. The green colour is from pandan leaf and black is either from ash of rice straw from Indonesia or chinese using black hue from the leaves of the Rami, Choy Yip or Mugworts plant.
